do not come to me for substance... I have not the authority to condemn, or approve... I am not Sister Mary Ruth, or a Baptist Minister; a Bible-wielding, hand toting, self-imagined, CHRIST. I am not a Pentacostal... I can hold you through a storm let my breath escape I've got you

Hi Julius, strident at times in a gentle sort of way. The title sits very well with this, and neat ending. btw typo authority maybe simplify ... I have no authority to condemn, or approve. |

Fixed the typo. I too would eliminate that first line, Julius. Seems extraneous as well as erroneous, IMO. The words following it pack a lot of substance. Enjoyed the end. Hold tight but let me breathe, please. As it should be in any and all circumstance of involvement. D |

This is very appealing, julius. I would definitely want someone who could hold me through a storm. That's much more important than whatever all those bible-wielding authoritarians could ever offer. This is a poem that makes you feel safe. Thanks. |

Thanks, Gary... I'm sitting in the eye of Arlene right now... dry and smiling. It was downgraded to a tropical storm, (but there are still some 40,OOO without real roofs after Ivan...) |
